Sales taxes on internet interstate commerce will simply not work. One reason online sales efforts are made is simply because it is relatively simple to set up shop and do the drop-shipping marketing efforts. Make it tough on the online sellers and most if not all internet interstate retail sales will cease. Speaking only for myself, I will not shop online outside my State of Florida boundaries nor do I believe anyone should anyone else shop outside their own state boundaries or ... just otherwise simply shop first with a wholesaler that has a retailing representative in the taxpayers' own state. Brick and mortar shops have high overhead and simply cannot compete with the internet...as the economy further collapses watch the inventories of manufacturers pile up as the sales drop like a stone off a steep cliff. I seriously doubt the US government or the state governments will enjoy any benefits from this moronic concept for additional taxation and revenues to the tax authorities.
